About me....
I was born in the UK, but raised in Australia. Like a lot of my students, I have spent many years living overseas and sometimes wonder where 'home' actually is. We return often to Melbourne, to family, friends and of course, the best coffee!
I started teaching internationally in 1999 in, Shanghai, China. I spent nearly 6 years in Shanghai before moving to Germany and then back to Melbourne. It was great to go 'home' and reconnect with family, friends and my own culture. However, the wanderlust took hold and we moved our lives to Thailand and spent 5 years @ NIST in Bangkok. 17 years after the international adventure began, I returned to my old school and to one of the most exciting cities in the world, Shanghai. Two years ago, my family and I made the very exciting move to Hong Kong.
I have taught Art from preschool right through to secondary school, and am also a practicing artist. My B.Ed (Visual Arts) is from Melbourne University in Australia. I am currently endeavouring to finish the artwork for the book I started for my five year old son, Kit. Together with my husband and dog, we have all fallen in love with Hong Kong, and enjoy swimming, surfing, hiking, cooking, going to Art galleries and eating!
